Do you know, or suspect, you suffer from an
allergy or food intolerance but cannot pinpoint the cause?
Would like to tune your health by analysing your diet, supplements
and the chemicals that you come in contact with everyday?
Using Lifestyle Toolbox to easily generate your LTMIs you can!
What is an LTMI?
An LTMI is an indication of how something affects
your health. It is a number between 1 and 10 and the higher
the number the more the effect. There are positive LTMIs where
the influencing item has a good effect on us and a negative
LTMI where it has a bad one.
eg. known relationships that affect us all.
When we drink a lot of coffee we do not sleep well. Hence the
LTMI between sleep and coffee (or caffiene) will be high and
negative. When we do a lot of gentle exercise (such as walking)
we tend to sleep a lot better - the relationship between sleep
and walking would generally be high and positive.
How are LTMI's Calculated?
When you use Lifestyle Toolbox everyday to enter
information about yourself (using the powerful search engines
it only takes about ten minutes) a history about your health
and all the things that may influence it is created. The Analysis
Wizard can then be used to look at all the factors, combinations
and permutations of the data and identify the relationships.
Each of these relationships are calculated as a simple number
- an LTMI. The average person using Lifestyle Toolbox will generate
100's or even 1000's of LTMIs, one for each relationship.
How long does it take to get meaningful
results?
You need to provide enough information and for
long enough to get meaningful results (about a month). Every
time you enter information it has an effect on your LTMIs. To
start with they will be quite low, but the longer you use it
the higher the values and the confidence that definate matches
have been found.
What use are the LTMIs?
It is easy, in all the LTMIs that are generated,
the ones with the highest numbers are the ones where there is
a higher influence and the lower ones indicate a lower influence.
In the simple example using sleep, coffee and walking it is
quite obvious. If you apply the same principles across the board,
you can recognise the trends which apply to just you - eg. tomatos
and asthma - white wine and migraine - irritable bowel syndrome
and milk. The possibilities are endless, but using Lifestyle
Toolbox those needles in the haystack can be found.
